Melanie Unangst
Meet Melanie Unangst!
By utilizing multiple treatment modalities, such as solutions-focused, motivational interviewing, CBT, and strength-based approaches, I assist adults and late teens to find solutions to better regulate and cope with emotions, improve communication skills, beliefs, and perceptions of challenges or barriers in life. Veterans hold a special place in my heart. I also have experience working with members of our Armed Forces who are struggling to reacclimate to society. I have worked with individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury, Substance Use Disorder, anxiety, depression, and PTSD.
Specialties include anxiety, depression, SUD (Substance Use Disorder), codependency, relationship issues and conflict, codependency, and combat PTSD.
According to The Beatles song Blackbird, we need to take these broken wings and learn to fly. Allow me to help you learn to care for yourself and learn to grow to your fullest potential. I provide a calm, inviting, non-judgmental therapeutic environment that allows an individual to reach a level of growth and personal awareness to reach health goals.
